Electrically operated awning for shading winter gardens, terraces, courtyards and other enclosed open spaces. The guide rails for the awning fabric are firmly attached to or under the object or area to be protected, and an integrated tensioning system keeps the fabric always stretched flat.
The sun protection system can be used on top or beneath a glazed surface, but is also suitable as an independent, i.e. self-supporting solution for shading larger areas within the maximum available width. As with all of our awning solutions, individual widths and depths are also possible in addition to the standard sizes.
When ordering a replacement fabric for the awning, you must first measure the exact width of the existing fabric, as the width given when buying a new awning always represents the overall width of the housing. The default for the awning fabric depth is the drop depth plus a lead of approx. 300 mm, so that the awning fabric still wraps the awning shaft securely and sufficiently even when it is extended. For example an awning of 5000 x 3500 mm, a dimension of approx. 4860 mm (measure the exact fabric without housing) x 3800 mm (3500 + 300 mm advance) should be selected for the replacement fabric. The awning fabrics are made to the desired width from 120 cm wide and averaged lengths (see specification for standard make-up). The shipment takes place on a roll by a forwarding agent.
The VARANDA conservatory awning is suitable not only for all glazed areas—spanning up to 500 cm in width as a single-piece module, or up to 900 cm as a two-piece module, with a shading depth between 300 and 425 cm—but can also be mounted as either a classic under-glass or over-glass awning. Furthermore, it serves as a standalone shading solution for enclosed patio areas or open-air seating spaces.The sunshade fabric is guided by lateral aluminum rails (60 x 60 mm); the brackets used to mount the rails are freely adjustable and require a support surface width of just 30 mm. Naturally, the awning is available not only in standard sizes but also in custom intermediate sizes. For custom-made units falling between two standard dimensions, the next larger width and/or depth serves as the basis for calculation.A discreet cassette reliably protects the motor and cables from the elements. Both the cassette housing and the guide rails are factory-anodized in white; other Classic RAL colors are available as an option.
